LVA is focused on delivering high quality consulting support that integrates technical support, thought partnering, mentorship, facilitation and capacity building to help our partners achieve their vision, mission and goals. Our consulting expertise falls into two main areas: change management & strategic planning and community engagement. 

Change Management & Strategic Planning: We partner with organizational and community leaders to design and facilitate change management and strategic planning initiatives. Our approach enables us to provide insightful analysis and practical recommendations that our clients can easily implement. Examples of the projects we support include:

• Facilitating conversations that lead to the design and implementation of new projects or initiatives
  
• Designing and facilitating organizational assessment processes - including data gathering and deep dive planning sessions,
  
• Providing thought partnering and technical support
  
• Designing and facilitating courageous conversations to address internal conflict and communication issues
  
• Guiding conversations to produce seminal documents, such as guiding frameworks and bills of human rights
  
• Make internal shifts so they can become high performing teams and organizations
• Exploring options to shift organizational structures, e.g., from a sponsor entity to formalized 501(c)3 structures

Community Engagement: Building on Laura's experience as community organizer and community builder overseeing a system of 10 community-led place-based collaboratives in Los Angeles County, LVA leads authentic community and stakeholder engagement processes. Our specialty is in ensuring that the voices, wisdom and experiences of community residents, particularly non-English speaking residents, are elevated in a meaningful way to advance advocacy, policy, systems change, and racial equity priorities.

​​In addition, as community-based practitioners, we love to partner with Spanish-speaking community residents to design and facilitate their own community engagement efforts.
